I’m noticing a trend with my intuitive reading sessions. Many clients are clear about what they want to create in their lives. It might be a new career, a loving partnership, a healthy body. However, they soon follow up with all the reasons they believe that they can’t have what they want. The thoughts range from “I’m too old.” “I don't have the right education.” “I’ve tried that and it didn’t work.” You get the idea!

I believe that if a dream is in your heart that the Universe/Infinite Intelligence/God placed it there. Who are you to deny it?

You are not alone. Your desires are a co-creation process with the divine. One of the ways that this wisdom communicates with you is through your intuition. I’d like to share one of my favorite techniques for tuning in to receive answers.

Your Wise Self – Exercise

Sit quietly and close your eyes. Allow your mind to drift back to a time in your past where you had a burning desire or dream you wanted to fulfill. Perhaps it was to have a family, to own your own home, to have a certain type of career or to obtain a college degree.

Spend a few minutes communing with this younger you. What were your hopes, dreams, and ambitions five, ten, fifteen, twenty years ago? How did you know what you wanted to achieve? How did it feel? What did it look like? How did you experience it in your body? These are all ways your intuition communicates your true passions and purpose.

Allow your thoughts to move forward in time. What became of those hopes and dreams? Did you allow some of them to fall away through discouragement? Did a few of them come true? Perhaps some of your dreams changed along the way as you grew and matured.

Most of our goals do not materialize overnight. They take months, years and sometimes decades to mature and manifest. Look at one of the dreams that you have achieved and look at the process you've gone through to succeed. What have you learned? What are you proud of? What do you wish you had done differently?

Take a slow, deep breath and exhale. Ask your wise inner self, "What new dreams should I pursue?" Wait, listen and reflect on the answer you receive. (Pause)

Then ask, "I want to allow this dream to unfold with joy, ease and peace -- how can I begin?"

Notice how this wisdom communicates. You may hear a quiet inner voice, an image, a knowing or an idea may simply pop into your head. Write it down. What action step can you take based on this inner knowledge? That’s your starting point. Now keep going. The Universe wants you to succeed.

Let me know about the answers you received. I’d love to hear more!
